Mal Pais Beach, located south of Playa Carmen, is a paradise of white sand and crystal clear waters. If you’re looking for a beach spot with a tranquil atmosphere and breathtaking surroundings, Mal Pais is one of those places.
This beach has an excellent location, as it is close to many other attractions such as Montezuma Beach, Montezuma Waterfall, Santa Teresa Beach, Playa Carmen, Cabo Blanco Natural Reserve, Cuevas Beach, and on the way to this beach, you can also visit the Curu National Wildlife Refuge.
Mal Pais Beach is characterized by its white sand, crystal clear water, rocky formations, and natural pools where you can observe a variety of fish during low tide. It stretches for approximately 6 km along the coast. Additionally, its waves are intermediate, so you can enjoy a delightful swim, but for surfing adventurers, there are also spots to practice this sport.
